We've revealed the final design for the Canterbury Works Headhouse which will be one of five structures that will be built to provide ventilation and emergency access to the high speed rail line for the 4.5mile long Euston Tunnel. Our construction partner, Skanska Costain STRABAG Joint Venture (SCSJV) will be building the Euston Tunnel and other HS2 tunnels, ventilation shafts, headhouses and other structures in London, including the the Canturbury Works Headhouse in Kilburn.
Plans for the headhouse have been updated to incorporate more natural materials and landscaped elements into the design, including a biodiverse green roof and small landscaped areas which will improve the visual impact for local residents. These design improvements along with others have been made as part of our 'you said, we did' changes from the feedback captured during our key design engagements held in November 2020.
You can find out more details about the updated design by viewing the information boards or signing up for the online event below.
