News on HS2 in Kilburn & Northolt

We are working closely with our construction partners to review the works on all our construction sites in line with Government and Public Health England (PHE) advice on dealing with Covid-19. The Government’s current Covid-19 strategy makes clear that construction activity can continue as long as it complies with this guidance, which you can see by clicking here .

The below work is going ahead as our contractors are confident that they can operate in line with PHE and industry guidance, protecting our staff and the communities in which they are working.

From the 16 July we will be carrying out power connection works, including the construction of a substation. This works is confined to our site compound area, along the access road to our site compound from Mandeville Road. We will remove the road surface along our site access road and excavate a trench to install cables and ducts. This will allow the construction of the substation.

These works will last for five weeks, and will take place during usual HS2 working hours of 8am to 6pm Monday to Friday and 8am to 1pm on Saturdays. Please accept our apologies for the later than usual notice of these works.

These works will not affect your electricity supply.
